Welora Tambura

The 10-year-old, 3rd grade little girl lives with her grandmother. Her parents and 4 siblings live in the north of the country. Neither parent attended school. The smart little girl was sent to Bamako to help her grandmother and to get a better education. Welore is one of the top 15 students in the 85-person class, despite not having a single textbook. It is her job to wash the clothes and do the dishes. She loves to read and watch TV, cartoons are her favorites. She wants to play basketball. She responds very well to questions. If she grows up, she wants to be a doctor. He would like to have a school bag, textbooks, pens, pencils.
